My Contribution:

 Designed a custom network dashboard, using Visio, which displays a list of critical and offline network devices along with a detailed information including the device location in a real time dashboard view. This helped the service desk representatives monitor the network environment more effectively and diagnose the cause for the failure before a severe outage, thus increasing the productivity of the team and accuracy of SCOM to a great extent.

 Authored a custom management pack that allows the Wintel team to identify the servers which are not licensed and send out an email to the team along with the server names. This reduced their effort to identify the unlicensed server and helped them take corrective actions before the server is moved to production and also improved the stability of Windows environment.

 Configured Orchestrator Runbooks to automate log purging, scheduling backups and daily report tasks to be sent to the team and cut short the manual intervention needed to accomplish the tasks which enables the team to be productive on other administrative tasks.

 Contributed to the design of a dual homing architecture of SCOM 2007 environment for GE that assured 0% downtime of the monitoring infrastructure during the migration phase from MOM 2000 to SCOM 2007. The architecture also leveraged the business with a more stable environment that was able to monitor the environment even when an entire site was down.

 Customized Dynamic Ops tool (A VMware product to provision machine builds) and created technical documentation for users on how to request Virtual Machines and view the pricing details.
